  On 21^st April, 2013, Sansiri and Chiang Mai province came together to support the Chiang Mai Children and Youth Council in hosting the ‘Rot Nam Dum Hua’ Ceremony, an important part of the Lanna New Year tradition, which involved organising the ‘Chiang Mai Youth Fair’. The opening ceremony was attended by Charoenrit Sanguansat, the deputy governor of Chiang Mai; Dr. Chao Duangduan Na Chiang Mai; Apichart Chutrakul, Chief Executive Officer of Sansiri Public Co., Ltd. and other leading figures in the province.

  Sansiri and Phuket province, under the joint campaign ‘GIVE’, organised a ‘Youth Civil Forum’ on 9^th May, 2013, which was the first time that Phuket youths had been given the opportunity to realise social projects by collaborating with the public and private sectors. The event was chaired by Srettha Thavisin, President and Managing Director of Sansiri Public Co., Ltd., and governor of Phuket Maitri Inthusut. Thirty youths recruited last year under the ‘GIVE’ campaign, who had received theoretical and practical training, presented their social issues of interest and suggested ways of improving them to members of the public and private sectors and the media. To pave the way for working seriously with the provincial sector, the youths have been appointed as the ‘Phuket Governor’s Youth Committee’.

  Srettha Thavisin, President and Managing Director of Sansiri Public Co., Ltd., was given the ‘Basil Hetzel Award’ by the International Council for Control of Iodine Deficiency Disorders Global Network (ICCIDD) for being recognised as an outstanding individual who has made an exceptional contribution to the worldwide elimination of iodine deficiency disorders with the ‘Iodine Please’ campaign in partnership with UNICEF Thailand. Held at the St. Regis Hotel on 22^nd March, 2013, the ceremony was presided over by Dr. Creswell J Eastman, Vice Chairman and Asia Pacific Regional Coordinator of the ICCIDD. Also present were members of Sansiri’s management, including Kovit Poshyananda, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Sansiri’s CSR committee; as well as members of the ICCIDD committee and UNICEF representatives.
