Sansiri and UNICEF join construction partners in a collaboration to support the end of child labor and raise the standard of children's well-being on construction sites
Sansiri and UNICEF, as well as partners in the construction business, support the end of child labour. Together, we have initiated the ""Child-Friendly Space"" project, which provides safe spaces for children of construction workers to learn and play. These spaces have been established at a number of Sansiri construction sites, including Setthasiri Ratchaphruek - Charan 2, dCondo Creek Phuket, Setthasiri Chaengwattana-Prachachuen, 23 Degree Estate Khao Yai, and Burasiri Panya-Indra. Children are given access to basic learning and development opportunities in a safe environment, where risks of accidents associated with construction work are low. The project has received great support from many people, both within and outside the organisation, who have donated their time and things like clothing, toys, books and school supplies to the children. Volunteer teachers include Sansiri company employees and certain business partners, such as Siam Commercial Bank, TOA, VRH, DOS, GHM/Sosuco, as well as members of the general public and students from some of the country's leading universities. Children are everyone's business, and Sansiri would like to thank everyone involved in creating a better life for all children in Thailand.
